Ripple, the world's third largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, and Forte, a blockchain-based technology vendor, have jointly created a $ 100 million fund to support game developers. The move follows Samsung's support for Enjin, a popular e-gaming platform.
Ripples Xpring and Forte spend a lot of time
After a press release Xpring, a ripple initiative for developer ecosystems, and Block Tech's technology provider Forte, have joined forces to raise $ 100 million to help game developers. The release is expected to accelerate the introduction of blockchain-based gaming technology.
In addition, Forte is reportedly targeting game developers operating in live game markets, with more than 50,000 active users daily, as well as interest in blockchain delivery.
Brett Seyler, Forte's chief platform officer, commented on the huge gaming industry's question and how Blockchain technology can be used:
The key innovations of blockchain technologies open up tremendous potential for virtually all forms of digital interaction. Gaming is a $ 140 billion global industry driven primarily by digital micro-transaction economies that we believe will greatly benefit from the integrity and resilience of blockchain technology. Industry needs solutions that can support these economies through cross-chain interoperability.
Games that attract a lot of attention
It seems that the gambling industry is attracting a lot of attention lately. The partnership between Ripples Xpring and Forte comes soon after the release of the new flagship smartphone Samsung Galaxy S10.
One of the most interesting developments in this matter is the fact that the device has a hardware-based secure storage solution for cryptocurrencies and supports distributed applications (DApps).
As Bitcoinist reportedOne of the projects for which support for the new S10 has been confirmed is Enjin Coin. The cryptocurrency is created by a Singaporean company called Enjin. It creates an ecosystem of games and is said to have 20 million users in 250,000 syndicates.
