The editors of Scientific American wrote that they felt "compelled" to support Biden, given President Donald Trump's well-documented records of ignoring science, particularly regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
"The evidence and science shows that Donald Trump has badly damaged the US and its people – for rejecting evidence and science. The most devastating example is his dishonest and incompetent response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the killed more than 190,000 Americans by mid-September, "they wrote.
"(Trump) has also attacked environmental protection, health care and the researchers and public science agencies that are helping this country prepare for its greatest challenges," added the magazine's editors. “So we urge you to vote for Joe Biden, who offers fact-based plans to protect our health, economy and the environment. These and other suggestions he has made can put the country back on a safer path, wealthier and a fairer future. "
Confirmation came just a day after Trump re-dismissed climate science during a briefing on the historic California wildfires.

Trump told Woodward he didn't want to "panic" so he withheld information about the asymptomatic and airborne transmission of the infection.
In the meantime, the President falsely claimed that Biden was a socialist and warned Americans against it Suburbs are being destroyed from "THUGS" if the Democratic candidate wins in November.
For these reasons and more, Scientific American endorsed Biden.
"Although Trump and his allies have tried to create barriers that prevent people from safely casting ballots In November, either by mail or in person, it is crucial that we overcome them and vote, "wrote the editors of the publication." It's time to pull out Trump and vote for Biden, who has been proven to follow the data and be guided by science. "
